Another tip to reduce toxins in your home is to refrain from air fresheners and plug-ins. Instead freshen the air with a diffuser and your favorite essential oil.
Most name brand cleaners for your home can be counterproductive in your pursuit of detoxing your environment. The goal is to sterilize your home, but these supposed “cleaning” products are infested with pollutants. Browse the market for green cleaners or make your own. Vinegar is a natural cleansing agent that’s good for most surfaces and easy to procure.
How else can you detox your life?
Get moving! Exercising regularly helps rid the body of unwanted debris filtering through the body’s system! Through perspiration, the toxins are naturally released. One study reveals that exercise can hold the capability of removing toxic elements from the body. Utilizing a sauna is another option that helps get rid of those pesky pollutants.
Drinking plenty of water is an important factor when it comes to detoxing the body. It’s recommended to drink half your bodyweight in ounces of water. Foods that aid in the detoxification process are garlic, leafy greens, broccoli, ginger, apples, and beets. Be sure to avoid anything processed by purchasing only organic and non-GMO foods. Sugar is a catalyst for inflammation and therefore is discouraged.
Another important element that supports detoxification is a good night’s rest. It’s recommended to obtain 7-9 hours of shut-eye. Sleep refreshes the body and mind, recharging you to face the upcoming day.
